We at Air Max find Customers who want examples of the claims that We can lower utility Bills. The common mis-perception is that we will try to sell you a new super Efficiency system or even a geothermal Unit for your Home.

Honestly we take as much or more pride in just Fine tuning older systems. We have been called the "Hot Rod Guys for Air", but we just see it as doing all of the skills taught and required by your units manufacturers, on every call.

Here are some thoughts:
7 out of 10 systems we look at are either over charged, low/leaking, or have faulty metering devices (sort of like carburetors in a car).

Many of these systems have and do operate much more expensively than necessary for years on end until they eventually break down. Lots of them are this way since they were installed but no one ever spots it.

We see wasting utility dollars as worse than a unit breaking down. It is this that makes us very different. One customer said you guys are like energy detectives!

Weak capacitors. They cause a fan to run slower than normal meaning you will have to run your unit longer and pay more to do the same job if it were not weak. Slower motors and compressors reduce capacity and increase dollars spent to cool your Home. These parts are not seen as important, until they fail by many companies.  Heck that’s how some get more service calls. We check the relative RPM’s  of your  motors. This is a test rarely performed by competitiors.

Air flow; We verify the proper Air flow utilizing slide rulers that eliminate bubbas rules of thumb, and apply energy efficient  precision to your homes air conditioner and heating system.

Humidity / Moisture management is job one for any air conditioner. 
At around 45% humidity most folks are cool.
Your unit should only have to go around the middle 70S to do this.

Any evaluation of your air conditioner is incomplete if the technician does not know how to use the necessary moisture management tools.
